About Decorvm
Decorvm is a small home decor business based in the province of Barcelona, Spain. We reproduce antique artworks — Renaissance paintings, medieval tapestries, Arts and Crafts patterns, Dutch still life, natural history engravings, and 18th-century verdure scenes — as wall tapestries, wallpaper murals, throw pillow covers, peel and stick wall borders, shower curtains, and upholstery fabrics.
What sets us apart is the combination of three things most home decor brands don't have: senior-level art direction, decades of professional print production knowledge, and hands-on art restoration experience. Every artwork we reproduce passes through all three filters before it becomes a product.
Who we are
Decorvm was founded in 2017 by Francisco Aveledo, a Venezuelan-born art director based in Barcelona since 2003. After graduating in visual communication and design in 1997, Francisco spent over twenty years directing design work for newspapers, broadcasters, brand studios, and museums — including the History of Art department at UC Berkeley. He runs Decorvm end-to-end: digital restoration, product development, production partnerships, customer service, and brand direction.
He's joined by Cassandra Fernández, an art historian and painting restorer with a degree from Florida Atlantic University and nearly a decade of professional restoration work in West Palm Beach. Cassandra brings her trained eye to artwork curation, helping select which paintings, engravings, and textile designs become Decorvm products. She also runs her own line of artisanal rubber stamps and prints.
How we work
Each artwork begins as a public domain digital file — but rarely arrives in a usable state. Most files need real restoration work before printing: contrast and tone correction, removal of stains and damage from the original artwork, careful adjustments for products like wallpaper murals where compositions need to extend or rebalance for full-wall scale. This is digital restoration as a graphic-design discipline, informed by Cassandra's hands-on painting restoration background and Francisco's training in print production.
Only after a file is restored and prepared does it go to our production partners across Europe and the United States — printed cushions, tapestries, and upholstery fabrics produced in Spain; wallpaper murals printed to order in Latvia; specialty products made in partnership with a workshop in Colorado, USA. Each format is matched to the production partner who does it best, rather than running everything through one factory.
Who we work with
Most of our customers are homeowners, renters, and interior designers furnishing personal spaces. But Decorvm products have also found their way into boutique hotels, monasteries, churches, antique-themed restaurants, film productions in Italy, and television sets — anywhere a room benefits from heritage atmosphere without the cost or fragility of an original antique textile.
Wholesale and trade
We work directly with museum gift shops, concept stores, interior designers and production designers seeking custom or curated runs. Because every product is printed to order or produced in small batches, we can adapt artwork selection, sizes, and finishes to specific projects. Where we ship
Decorvm ships worldwide. Most products are printed in Europe; a few are produced in the United States. For U.S. orders, we cover import duties so there are no surprise fees at delivery.
