François Boucher painted Venus in many guises across the mid-18th century — the French Rococo master returned again and again to the goddess of love, framed by drifting clouds, flowing drapery, and attendant cherubs. This cushion reproduces a detail from one of those Venus compositions in a soft pastel palette of dusty blue, blush pink, and peach, with a small white dove resting against the drapery.
