An antique Virgin Mary scene after Stefan Lochner's Presentation in the Temple, painted in 1447 — the late-Gothic Cologne master worked at the cusp of the Northern Renaissance, layering luminous gold grounds with the vibrant ultramarines, reds, and greens of the new Flemish-influenced realism. The Virgin appears at the heart of the composition in her blue mantle, framed by attending figures and the gilded architecture of the temple.
This cushion cover brings that scene to a sofa or chair — printed in Europe on a cotton-polyester blend. Pairs beautifully with traditional and dark academia interiors — equally at home on a quiet reading chair, in a layered library, or against deep painted walls and antique woods.
