Charles Le Brun designed the "Portière du Char de Triomphe" — the Portière of the Chariot of Triumph — in the late 17th century for the Manufacture des Gobelins, the royal French tapestry workshop established by Louis XIV. As First Painter to the King, Le Brun set the visual language of French royal taste at the height of the Sun King's court: dense Baroque detail, deep crimson and antique gold, military trophies, cherubs, fluttering banners, and a crowned crest at the heart of the composition.

This wall tapestry recreates that palace grandeur on a generous scale — printed in Europe on premium cotton blend. Pairs beautifully with French baroque, dark academia, maximalist, and grandmillennial interiors — perfect above a bed as a textile headboard, behind a sofa, or in a study filled with old books, leather chairs, and gilded frames.
