Evoking the grandeur of an old French estate, this verdure wall tapestry depicts a formal garden with fountains, flowering trees, a chateau-castle, and lively birds, framed by deep foliage in layered greens and soft taupes. The scene's quiet movement — wings lifting, water flowing, a scampering spaniel — brings a restful, storybook quality to any setting, from modern interiors to moody dark academia libraries.

The scene is based on a verdure tapestry from the French chateau tradition, woven between 1738 and 1778 in the workshop of Katharine Ghuys, widow of master weaver Guillaume Werniers — a rare example of a woman-led atelier in 18th-century European textile production.
