Ignace-Gaston Pardies engraved these celestial maps in 1693 — part of the French Jesuit astronomer's six-plate atlas of the night sky. One side of this reversible cushion shows the northern winter sky: the Great Bear (Ursa Major), Perseus brandishing the head of Medusa, Cassiopeia and Cepheus enthroned, the coiled green Draco dragon, and small Ursa Minor at the celestial pole. The reverse pairs the adjacent quadrant featuring the sea monster Cetus, the princess Andromeda, Pegasus, and Triangulum.

Printed on both sides on a cotton-polyester blend with a hidden zipper closure, this two-sided pillow brings scholarly grandeur to dark academia, library, study, and grandmillennial interiors — perfect on a leather sofa, a reading chair, or layered into a bed of textured neutrals.
